Fun Play

Play dough
2 c flour
2 c water
1/2 c Salt
2 Tbsp cooking oil
4 tsp cream of tartar
food coloring
Put all ingredients in a pot. Mix, stirring constantly over med. Heat until the mixture clumps into a big ball. (it’ll go all gooey and you will think it is not working, but it will! Keep stirring!)
Knead on counter until smooth and not sticky
** if play dough is still sticky, knead some extra flour or try adding another tsp. cooking oil. Keep in sealed bag or a plastic container with a lid.

Cornstarch Magic
2 c cornstarch
Water

Add enough water to make a pancake dough texture. You can add food coloring if you like. Put it into a shallow pan and let child play in it, they can even use spoons, or trucks etc.


Homemade chalk
Mix 1/2 c water, 3 Tbsp. plaster of Paris and food coloring
Pour into small paper cups and dry for one hour or until hard. Peel off cup and its is ready to use. If you do not have paper cups you can also tape the end of a toilet paper roll. Pour mixture into the top and stand straight up until it becomes hard.


Homemade Bubbles
2 liters plus 1 c water
1/2 C of light corn syrup
1 c. liquid dish detergent

Mix water and corn syrup together until completely blended . Gently sir in the liquid dish detergent. This great bubble mixture will store for several weeks in a airtight container.
